This week was all about theatre and laughter for our Primary 1 and 2 classes! The highlight was the play Henri e il paese di Noiavia, staged by the drama company Filo di Rame at the Teatro Montegrappa, in Rosà.

In a realm drowned in monotony, where inhabitants seemed to surrender to a life of black and white, one might wonder: what if someone could disrupt this mundane existence? Henri is an ordinary child with an extraordinary spark of curiosity. The question arises: can a simple curiosity wield the power to infuse life with color? Through enchanting realms and peculiar tales inspired by Matisse’s art, the narrative unfolds, providing a good occasion for self-discovery. At the end of the performance, our kids were thrilled to have participated in this experience, which will certainly not be easily forgotten!

But this performance is just a taste of this week! After the show, our Primary 1 dived right into the spirit of acting, embarking on the rehearsal of the play “It’s not fair”, which will be presented at the School Assembly this Friday. They not only had loads of fun but also learned invaluable skills: how to own the stage, engage with fellow actors, and authentically embody another character while staying true to themselves.

This week was a celebration of imagination, self-expression, and the possibilities that unfold when curiosity meets creativity. As the curtain falls on this week, we eagerly await the next chapter in our students’ artistic adventures. Rest assured, more is yet to come!
