At H-FARM International School Rosà, learning goes beyond the classroom! Primary students took part in the interdisciplinary project “Better for Bees, Better for Us”, designed and led by the teacher and artist Ms. Kate Taylor. This remarkable educational journey allowed the children to deepen their connection with nature and learn about the crucial role bees play in our ecosystem.
The project kicked off with a visit to the educational farm “L’Ape Nostra Amica”, where second-grade students had the chance to observe bees up close and gain a better understanding of their life cycle through hands-on and engaging activities. The children immersed themselves in the world of bees, exploring their habitat and learning about their vital contribution to the environment.
In the second phase of the project, students took part in an in-class art lesson, led by Ms. Taylor. Inspired by their experience at the farm and by visual materials such as picture books and videos, children created artworks reflecting their respect for nature and the importance of biodiversity.
To wrap up the project, an interactive workshop was held, inviting parents and families to join the children and share in this artistic and educational experience. The involvement of families made the event even more special, creating a moment of shared learning and creativity.
The project was a huge success, offering students a creative and stimulating way to learn. A special thanks to Ms. Kate Taylor for her leadership and inspiration!
