Greenhouse project 1920 2560 School Office ROSA

Primary 5 at have been diving into an inspiring project this term, transforming a simple greenhouse into a learning experience focused on nature, sustainability, and the scientific process. This initiative is helping students connect with the environment while sharpening their critical thinking and observation skills.

The project began with an introduction to sustainable practices and the vital role plants play in maintaining ecological balance. From there, students started to build the greenhouse themselves. In the following weeks, students will plant the seeds into the greenhouse and start the observation phase. Each step of the process is guided by the scientific method, with students designing experiments to test how variables like light, water, and soil type affected plant development.

Throughout the project, students meticulously record data in journals, noting changes in plant height, color, and overall health. They used this data to create charts and graphs, analyzing their findings and discussing results with their classmates. The greenhouse project has also been an important lesson in sustainability. By caring for the plants and observing their growth, students have gained a firsthand appreciation of the delicate balance required to maintain healthy ecosystems. This hands-on experience has reinforced the importance of protecting the environment and adopting sustainable practices in everyday life.
