Discovering art and science, what better way to learn about the past and the future?

Our Lower Secondary 1 students visited the famous Cappella degli Scrovegni and Museo della Natura e dell’Uomo (MNU), in Padua. Within the MNU’s walls, a treasure trove of 200,000 natural and anthropological artifacts welcomed our students on this day full of exploration and discovery. Through collections spanning Mineralogy, Geology, Paleontology, Zoology, and Anthropology, students learned the history of Earth’s evolution and humanity’s relationship with the environment. They also learned about the importance of preserving a well-balanced ecosystem for future generations.

From science to art, the leap was narrow! Did you know that Giotto’s breathtaking frescoes were painted in only two years? Giotto crafted a masterpiece that not only adorned the chapel’s walls but also revolutionized Western art, leaving an indelible mark on history and igniting imaginations for centuries to come.

As the day wraps up, our students cherish the memories of their adventure in Padua. Exploring both the wonders of science and the beauty of art, they’ve gained insights into Earth’s history and humanity’s creativity, sharing a great experience that will be remembered for a long time.
