On Monday 29th October, Primary School students from Years 3, 4, and 5 gathered on the field east of the Rosà Swimming Pool for the much-awaited O.RE.CO Team Run. This event brought together students, parents, teachers, and the broader school community, celebrating not only physical activity but also the values of unity, support, and collaboration.
The day began with an energetic warm-up, building excitement and setting the tone for the morning. Lower Secondary students kicked off the event, followed by Primary School races for Years 5A, 4, and 3. After each race, students and families gathered for an awards ceremony, celebrating not only the achievements of each team but also the enthusiasm, resilience, and sportsmanship displayed by all participants.
Throughout the event, students practised valuable life skills, such as teamwork, resilience, and managing emotions, all in a joyful, supportive setting. The school provided warm tea to keep spirits high, and students enjoyed their snacks during breaks, creating moments of relaxation and connection with friends and family.
The run featured a 600-metre course where each class competed as a team. In this unique race format, students worked together to cross the finish line, with the fastest runners encouraging and supporting their peers along the way. The event fostered a spirit of unity and determination, emphasising the importance of teamwork and collective success. As parents and teachers cheered from the sidelines, the field was filled with a strong sense of community, reinforcing the powerful role of collaboration and support in students’ life.
Thank you all for making this day possible!
