Lower Secondary students participated in the interdisciplinary project “We are Against Violence Towards Women,” an initiative designed to confront the pressing issue of gender-based violence and promote awareness of gender equality. This project challenged students to explore the causes, consequences, and solutions to violence against women through multiple academic lenses, fostering critical thinking and community involvement.
A key moment of the project was a session with a representative from Spazio Donna in Bassano del Grappa. Students engaged in discussions about the societal impact of gender-based violence, learning about prevention strategies and the importance of emotional education on this topic. This experience helped them connect their classroom learning to real-world challenges, encouraging them to think about their own roles in promoting respect and equality.
The students’ involvement extended beyond learning. By selling tickets for the March in Bassano on November 24, they raised funds to support local programs assisting women and children in need. Their efforts exemplified the power of taking initiative to create meaningful change within their community.
